Get alerted when a customer arrives

Using RealtimeStack, it is possible to get alerted if a customer arrives at your store.

This can be done in combination with Shopify Flow, a free app provided by Shopify



1. Install Shopify Flow


Shopify Flow is installed from the Shopify app store : https://apps.shopify.com/flow



2. When Shopify Flow is installed, you can create a new workflow that uses events from RealtimeStack.

Start the Flow app and select "Create workflow"




3. On the next page, choose "Select a trigger"



4. From the trigger selection menu, select RealtimeStack


5. RealtimeStack has several triggers. For this case, select "Visitor arrived"



6. From the next screen, select the blue (+) icon next to "Then", and select "Action"



7.  From the "Select action" page, choose the "Flow" tasks and find the one labelled "Send internal email"



8. On the next page, you can define the recipient and content of the mail that is sent when a visitor arrives.

Note that you can use variables like country, city, ip and various stats, and include those in the email



9. Turn on the workflow, and it is ready to send emails when a visitor arrives.
